Traffic is the biggest problem in Acocks Green. Sherbourne Road is treated like a race track. Council seem totally disinterested. Mr Hemming seems more interested in outing footballers.

Hi  Tom

Sorry for belated reply. In answer to your vandalism comment: sounds like you have been having a bad time. The Focus Group does not really deal with this kind of issue, not because, as individuals, we don't care but because our Constitution is 'focussed' on local structural issues. Your best bet might to try the local Police Tasking meetings. We reproduce below from a leaflet we have just been sent:

<strong>Neighbourhood Tasking meetings give you the opportunity to tell us your concerns and decide which of these issues the Police and Partner agencies should address. This may be about anti-social behaviour, inconsiderate parking, graffiti or another issue that is causing you concern.

Your Neighbourhood Tasking Meetings are held at;
Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School, Victoria Rd, Acocks Green, Birmingham B27 7XY
(Access the school at the rear of Jefferies hardware store, Shirley rd)

Thursday 5th August at 7pm
Thursday 2nd September at 7pm
Thursday 7th October at 7pm
Thursday 4th November at 7pm
Thursday 2nd December at 7pm

If you are unable to attend your local meeting, you can still let us know what your local issues are via:
Switchboard: 0345 113 5000 ext. 7824 6588

I am very disapointed in 'the green' and do not feel proud of it at all.
In fact sometimes a bit embarrassed by it.
It feels scruffy and run down.
The roads and the most of the shops are scruffy and not useful.
Like a previous poster said said 'think Knowle'. Here there is a lovely village atmosphere and it looks clean and not run down at all.
