The Green at Acocks Green in Snow Magic

The Inn on the Green, Acocks Green, January 2010 Snow

Here is the much loved ‘Green’ at Acocks Green doing a paper weight impression in the January 2010 snow.  The backdrop  is of The Inn on the Green,  a recently restored Arts and Crafts pub, and Acocks Green Library, a special thirties library:  two of  the buildings around The Green which gives The Green its character.

The work on the A41/Warwick Road improvements continues.   For the first findings after the feasibility study see the Warwick Road website here.   It is not too late to give your opinions to the team and, in connection with this, it  is still not too late to take our survey on what you think of Acocks Green – see page on the right.  Eventually, we hope that the Warwick Road Project Team plans will work in conjunction with the Birmingham Landscape Practice Plans – again, see our page on the right.  (We have been told that this is the intention.) In this case The Inn on the Green could become just that, with a bigger, green available for public events and a pedestrianized area between the Inn and the Green
