Do you live or work in Acocks Green? Are you happy with our centre just the way it is? It seems not everyone is.

Yes - we agree very much that Acocks Green is behind the times and desparately needs investment. Acocks Green centre is stuck in the nineteen-seventies. We are deeply disappointed that a working party which was set up for Regenration in Acocks Green has been stopped whilst other, broadly similar, areas of Birmingham like Kings Heath and Erdington are seeing more investment than we are. We need to press for investment urgently - especially since in the near future we will be facing competition from the new Tesco development in Yardley.
People who would like to help with the campaign for investment in Acocks Green are also welcome to join The Focus Group. We generally meet on the last Monday of the month, 7.30 at The Hopkins room, Botteville Road entrance to Acocks Green Methodist Church - but give us a call or drop us a line first, because occasionally we change times.
